Do I need to load creatine?

No. Loading fills muscle stores faster, but taking a daily serving without loading reaches the same place, just a couple of weeks later. Loading is a convenience rather than a requirement — and it is the main reason people end up with stomach discomfort.

Why does the scale go up in the first two weeks?

Mostly water drawn into the muscle tissue, not fat. For most people it settles and stays. It is normal and it is not a sign something has gone wrong.

Is creatine safe?

Long-term research in healthy adults has not shown a consistent safety problem at standard doses. If you have a kidney condition, high blood pressure that is not well controlled, or you are under medical care, speak to a doctor before starting.
